Arlen Showstack - PRODUCER/DIRECTOR & FOUNDER
Although different individuals may contribute to the overall operation of ASPNHD, special attention must be directed towards the following key individual behind the business, its founder Mr. Arlen Showstack. As a highly skilled professional with over 30 years’ experience in the field of video and television production, Arlen has worn many hats through the years, including; Producer, Director, Camera Operator as well as Chief Video Editor. Arlen started his career in the early 90’s at Cablevision of Boston/Brookline, which ultimately turned into AT&T Broadband, then Comcast. |
Arlen has produced single and multi-camera live and live-to-tape, in-studio and on-location productions. His lengthy resume is comprised of, but not limited to, Sporting events, Corporate events, In-Studio Talk Shows as well as Historical Packages to name a few. Arlen produces and directs annually coverage of the Mayor’s Cup Youth Hockey tournament held at Boston College, sometimes involving as many as 11 games on a single day. Arlen produced and directed coverage of the Yawkey Baseball League, (the highest level of amateur baseball in the Boston area), for well over a decade. He produced and directed "Extrahelp”, a virtual live homework hotline assisting Middle School to College level Students for nearly 2 decades. He was also Co-Founder and Executive Director of “ArisingStar Productions”, a televised acting program for youth. Arlen was the Sports Director for "Game of the Week", (GOW), involving High School games for Boston City TV.
He has a proven ability to successfully crew, hire and train a workforce to complete time sensitive projects. He was consistently rated a top performer by management and clients. Arlen has been the recipient of numerous Corporate and Industry honors for outstanding service, including NECTA and Spotlight Awards. He was also inducted to both the Yawkey League and Brookline Access Television Hall of Fame for his long term media contributions.

Mason Stalph - BROADCASTER (PLAY-BY-PLAY/COLOR)
Mason Stalph has over a decade of experience as a play-by-play-broadcaster, color analyst, and public address announcer. In his career, he has broadcast 16 different sports across the professional, semi-professional, collegiate, high school, and local levels. Originally from Wethersfield, CT, Mason is a 2018 graduate of Division I Elon University in North Carolina, where he was the play-by-play voice of the Women's Basketball team, which competed in back-to-back NCAA Tournaments in 2017-18, and the public address announcer for the Football team and Baseball team (featuring current Seattle Mariners All-Star pitcher George Kirby). He then moved to the Greater Los Angeles Area, where he announced at the pro level for the Ontario Reign of the AHL and Orange County Soccer Club of the USL Championship, before ultimately returning to his native New England in 2020. |
Mason is currently the color analyst for Bryant University Men's & Women's Basketball and the play-by-play broadcaster for Bentley University Football and Men's & Women's Lacrosse, and Stonehill College Women's Lacrosse. He also calls games regularly at Boston University, Brown University, The College of the Holy Cross, UMass Lowell, UMass Boston, and Tufts University. Since 2015, he has called 15 NCAA Tournament games, more than 25 NCAA conference championships, and an International Friendly soccer match featuring Club Tijuana of the Mexican Liga MX. He has worked with ASPNHD since 2022 and has called the Mayor's Cup Hockey Tournament, High School Football at Fenway Park, multiple Massachusetts State Tournament Basketball games, and the Brookline Youth Baseball All-Star Game & Home Run Derby.

In the past, John has worked with the MSBN Sports Network in Saint Paul, MN as well as a year long stint with ESPN Radio-Lehigh Valley as Pre and Postgame Show Host for the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs, a AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. As an undergraduate student at Chestnut Hill, John performed Play-by-Play for BC football, hockey, baseball, and basketball as well as served as Promotions Director for WZBC Sports, the student run sports radio network. His career broadcasting highlights include the 2016 Women's Hockey East Semifinals for the Pack Network as well as the 2011 and 2012 Beanpot Championships for WZBC Sports.

John R. Leahy - BROADCASTER (PLAY-BY-PLAY)
John Leahy is an award winning broadcaster with over two decades of experience on the air. Beginning in 1995 he began his coverage on local cable access in the town of Stoughton, MA, for the Stoughton Cable 9 Sports Network, broadcasting high school hockey, basketball and football for the network, covering high school sports from 1995-2005. In 2003 and 2004 he was the lead play by play announcer on the Comcast Television Network, broadcasting a multitude of sports including Yawkey League Baseball and professional wrestling, along with North Shore Spirit baseball. |
In 2005 John was hired by the North Shore Spirit baseball club of the Can-Am League to be their lead play by play announcer for their radio broadcasts. He remained in that role for three years until the franchise folded in September of 2007. He then provided play by play for the Kalamazoo Kings baseball club of the Frontier League in Kalamazoo, MI, in the 2008 and 2009 seasons, followed by a stint in Florence, KY, as the voice of the Florence Freedom in 2010. In 2011 John joined the broadcasts of the Lowell Spinners of the New York-Penn League, working part time in 2011 and 2012. In 2013 John was named the full time voice of the club and has called 2 Spinners games from historic Fenway Park.
John has also been the play by play voice of Merrimack College hockey, a member of Hockey East, since 2005. During the course of his play by play work there he also appeared on ESPNU as a rinkside reporter in a game against Maine. He also called an outdoor game against Providence on January 4, 2014 from Fenway Park, Merrimack's first appearance at the historic ballpark.

Jesse Mayfield-Sheehan - BROADCASTER (PLAY-BY-PLAY)
Jesse Mayfield-Sheehan began his sportscasting career at the age of 12 — when he attended the Scholastic Play-by-Play Sports Broadcasting Camp at Boston University — and has been moving forward ever since. After four summers of broadcasting camp, Jesse joined the year-round broadcast program Young Broadcasters of America, where he appeared on weekly sports talk shows on radio and online. He also provided color commentary for a World TeamTennis match featuring the Boston Lobsters that aired on Peabody Access TV, and interviewed famous sports figures like Cedric Maxwell, Jim Courier and John Isner. |
Jesse built a multifaceted resume during his time as a journalism student at UMass Amherst, working his way up to leadership positions at both the school newspaper and TV station while also interning for professional media companies like NESN, ABC and PBS.
After graduating in 2015, Jesse began his professional career as a Production Assistant at NESN, before switching over to the print side as a sports reporter for various local newspapers. He spent the next four years working for The Madisonville Messenger in Kentucky, The Norwich Bulletin in Connecticut and the Keene Sentinel in New Hampshire, winning four state journalism awards along the way, including First Place for Best Sports Feature Story from the Kentucky Press Association in 2016. He also provided play-by-play and color commentary for several high school games during his time in Madisonville, and regularly appeared on a weekly radio sports talk show.
After his time in print, Jesse decided to return to his first love of sports broadcasting, leaving his job at the Sentinel and becoming a volunteer play-by-play broadcaster for his alma mater, Brookline High School. He has also kept up his written work as a freelance reporter for the Daily News of Newburyport.

Seth Orensky - BROADCASTER (PLAY-BY-PLAY, COLOR, SIDELINE REPORTER)
Seth Orensky is a play-by-play broadcaster with nearly a decade of experience in the Boston area. Starting from his time as an undergraduate at Boston University, Seth has focused on providing the most informed and best possible coverage of any event he works on. Whether it’s a championship game at the highest level, to a regular season youth game, Seth understands the importance of providing a great broadcast for the athletes, their friends and family, and the community as a whole. |
Seth currently works as a play-by-play broadcaster at UMass Boston and MIT, while also covering games for Boston Neighborhood Network and ASPNHD. He has broadcasted a dozen different sports and covered all levels, from the American Hockey League to little league baseball. He has also worked for the now-defunct Worcester Tornadoes of the CanAm League and was the lead voice for Boston University men’s basketball as an undergraduate.
Some of his career highlights include broadcasting two hockey games at Fenway Park, providing play-by-play for a Boston University men’s basketball game at Madison Square Garden and covering the first round of the Division I Men’s Basketball NCAA Tournament as a senior in college.

Allan Segal - BROADCASTER (PLAY-BY-PLAY, COLOR, SIDELINE REPORTER)
Allan Segal grew up in Swampscott and began his broadcasting experience by hosting a sports show called “Instant Replay” The show was seen in five communities, Lynn, Swampscott, Salem, Malden & Winthrop. Along with his brother, Scott, Allan began announcing Swampscott High School Hockey games. Allan also was a Sports Anchor for TV 3 News in Lynn and parlayed that into running the Studio for Comcast in Lynn. This led to assisting in CN8 productions throughout New England. He also became a Sideline Reporter, Color Commentator and Announcer for various high school sporting events including football, basketball & hockey. Working these productions led to an introduction to Arlen Showstack. This led to a friendship and partnership that continues today. |
Allan worked as both Play-by-Play and Color Commentator for Arlen covering Yawkey Baseball league games, various youth sporting events, wrestling and more. Throughout the years, Allan has had the honor of interviewing various Boston Sports Celebrities, including Ray Bourque, Reggie Lemelin, Bob Sweeney, Sergi Samsonov, Bob Kraft, Steve Lyons, Rich German, Dick Raditz and many more. Allan lives in North Andover with his wife Kim and two kids, Lyla & Sarah. Allan is a key part of ASPNHD.

Leverett comes to ASPNHD with almost a decade of experience in the field of broadcasting. Since graduating from Curry College, he has done on-air TV work as a host of Dirty Water TV on New England Sports Network, a sideline reporter for Boston Neighborhood Network, and a play by play announcer for various college sports on the Stadium Network. At ASPNHD, Leverett will serve as a play by play announcer, color commentator and sideline reporter for game broadcasts. |

Ken Bergeron - PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Ken graduated from Springfield Technical Community College located in Springfield MA. With an Associates Degree in Telecommunications Technology. Ken has been involved in live video production for past 35 years. Ken has also worked in the cable industry for 28 years starting as a technician and then moved into the plant operations side of the business as a linemen and troubleshooter. |
Ken has been working at Boston Neighborhood Networks since December 2012 as a Production Assistant he has worked in the studio with his main concentration in live productions including civic events, parade coverage and high school football and basketball “Game of The Week” (GOW).
Ken is also employed with the City of Cambridge MA. as an Environmental, Health and Safety Officer. With Ken’s background and years of experience in the video production field with an outstanding attention to detail, he is an important asset to our productions here at ASPNHD.

Frank Morello - CAMERA OPERATOR
Frank started his career in TV with Comcast in 2006. His studies at Curry College and The Art Institute of NE landed him in Brookline as Comcast’s Local Origination Master Control Operator. Through hard work, dedication and positive attitude Frank was able to parlay what started as an internship into a full time position. Due to this opportunity Frank developed skills in importing and scheduling. Excited by the chance to learn more, Frank quickly became versed in field and studio camera, including work on sports, music, talk and educational shows. |
During this period, Frank also completed formal training in Final Cut Pro. The next step was to combine all the skill and produce/shoot and edit his own show for Comcast’s Local Origination operations in Boston and Brookline. Shortly thereafter, Frank became the Production Coordinator at Boston Neighborhood Network, where his duties included 60 single-camera shoots per year, multi-camera productions and truck shoots.
Frank seamlessly transitioned to Access Framingham, working since September of 2013 as their Production Coordinator.

Stu Sklaver - SPORTS STATISTICIAN
Stuart has been a Statistician in the sports world since 2003. He started out with Brookline Access Television covering Brookline Youth Baseball games as an analyst. In 2004, he began a long term relationship with Comcast (Formerly Cablevision of Brookline/Boston as their Statistician for their coverage of Yawkey baseball. Stu was awarded the illustrious Jean Yawkey Award in 2008. He continued his affiliation with the Yawkey League even after Comcast, and became an assistant coach with the East Boston Knights, In 2008, Stu became the Yawkey League media consultant, reporting scores to both the Boston Herald and Boston Globe. |
Stu also works as the Statician with Boston City TV, with it's coverage of high school basketball and football, as well as with Boston Neighborhood Network (BNN) with their annual coverage of the Mayors Cup Youth Hockey Tournament held at Boston College. In addition to being a Statistician, Stu has also done play by play, color commentary and sideline reporting. Stu is an integral part of ASPNHD with his sports knowledge, enthusiastic attitude and continued professionalism.
